Three New Businesses Open In Sarasota's St. Armands Circle

SARASOTA, FL — St. Armands Circle welcomes three new businesses to the shopping destination. Gelato-Go is a healthy Italian gelato shop that also serves homemade pastries and authentic Italian coffee, according to a news release from St. Armands Circle. The pet-friendly eatery is located at 321 John Ringling Blvd. Meanwhile, artist and photographer Kathy Groob — the great, great, great-niece of artist Frank Duveneck — has opened a gallery in the area. Kathy Groob Art, located at 400 Madison Drive, showcases her contemporary works in watercolors, pen and ink, and acrylics on canvas. Her work is an expression of her passion for nature, flowers, people, memorable places, light, and clouds, St. Armands Circle said. She paints from her photographs and sketches, and is inspired by the works of Georgia O'Keeffe, Frida Kahlo, Vincent VanGogh, Mary Cassatt, Andrew Wyeth, Marc Chagall, Paul Gauguin, Charley Harper and Duveneck. And the Salt Life lifestyle brand has opened its ninth Florida retail store at 16 S. Boulevard of the Presidents. Salt Life is designed for those with active lifestyles and a love of the beach and ocean. "We are thrilled these outstanding merchants are now part of the St. Armands Circle community. They represent the best of what the Circle offers, to our visitors and others alike," said Geoffrey Michel, chair of the St. Armands Circle Business Improvement District. Two St. Armands businesses have also recently relocated to new areas of the circle. AcuMed Acupuncture and Wellness, which specializes in pain management, emotional health and other conditions, is now located at 11 S. Boulevard of the Presidents. And Hatley Boutique Sarasota, a Canadian brand selling premium clothing and accessories for women and children has moved to 320 John Ringling Blvd. Opened in 1926, St. Armands Circle has more than 140 shops, restaurants, bars and other merchants.
