Full Time Transplanter (Seasonal) Annie’s Annuals & Perennials, located in Richmond, CA, is a nationally recognized, trend-setting plant nursery offering one of the largest selections of rare and unusual annuals and perennials to be found anywhere. Our offerings include exclusive plant introductions, California natives, cottage garden heirlooms, and Mediterranean climate varieties from around the world. The majority of our plants are grown from seeds or cuttings without the use of growth hormones, systemic pesticides or neonicotinoids. Our on-site R&D facility and 3.5-acre nursery are a botanical and pollinator wonderland! Annie’s focus on plant education makes gardening accessible to everyone – from beginning gardeners to lifelong enthusiasts. Annie’s is looking for a Full Time Seasonal Transplanter to join our team. This position is almost exclusively outdoors rain or shine. Responsibilities: • Pick up (from Prop Nursery) and transplant all plants specified on the weekly transplant list. • Check on the quality and quantity of seedlings being transplanted and report any problems to your supervisor. • Have knowledge of the individual plants and what they require (which soil, how they need to be handled/transplanted). • Have knowledge of where to place seedlings after they have been transplanted and move them to proper location (sun, shade, inside, outside, etc.). • Help to keep your space, and the entire transplanting area, clean and safe to work in. • Help the other transplanters fill the 4” pots with soil as needed. • Help to consolidate and weed retail nursery every Thursday. • Help to cover the nursery with frost cloth (mornings and evenings) when needed. • Work on any other special projects as directed by the Propagation Manager (Ex: Working in prop beds, cleaning prop spaces, organizing, etc.) • Act as backup support for cuttings transplant during peak season, avoiding schedule delays. • Fill Nursery Pots • Maintain clean and safe working environment. • Load and fill soil carts • Move and lift plant carts up to 60 lbs. • Lift, push, pull up to 60lbs. • Stand for 8 hours. • Work outdoors rain or shine. Salary and Benefits: 15.54 per Hour Schedule: This position is a Full Time/Seasonal. Work week is Monday- Friday/40hrs a week.
