Salem Police, Homeland Security Conduct Cocaine Sting

SALEM, MA — A Lynn man was charged with cocaine trafficking after a package containing more than 450 grams of what is believed to be cocaine was intercepted on its way to a Salem business. Salem police said the U.S. Department of Homeland Security intercepted the package on its way from the Dominican Republic. Police said that detectives worked with federal agents and the local business to deliver that package to the Salem-based business where the suspect signed for it. Rodolfo Valintin Mora, 35, of Lynn, was arrested and charged with trafficking of cocaine over 200 grams at the Salem Police Department. Police said inside the packages were vacuum-sealed plastic bags concealed in four panels of the cardboard box that contained a "white paste-like substance consistent with cocaine" that weighed 456 grams. Salem police said the business was cooperative with police and the Department of Homeland Security during the investigation.
