Her heart still beats fast

Hello everyone, I've been in a complicated relationship with someone for almost 2 years, and it seems that it's ended, she chose to end it on her side. But just a couple days ago she told me that her heart still beats fast when she sees an email from me, and it beats fast when she reads it as well. I just asked her why does it still beats fast, and she replied and told me she doesn't know. By the way, I'm a guy, and she's a woman. So this question is primarily for the woman that are on here. Ladies, have you been involved with a guy, and broke up with him, and had your heart still beat fast when he emailed or texted you? If so, why do you feel your heart still would beat fast?
