LONG BEACH, NY — Expect some delays as road work is scheduled on the Long Beach Bridge. Repairs are planned to the steel joints and the concrete deck on the southbound side. Construction is scheduled for Feb. 28 from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. Traffic will be detoured to the northbound lanes, the city of Long Beach said on its website. Crews from the Nassau County Department of Public Works will also do patching of the concrete areas during the day of March 2. The Long Beach Bridge connects Long Beach to Island Park across Reynolds Channel.
