WRIGHT COUNTY, MN — The Minnesota State Patrol is investigating a Thursday morning crash on Interstate 94 near Monticello that involved 29 vehicles. Of the 29 cars in the crash, half were semis, police said.
Authorities say poor visibility and challenging road conditions from Thursday's "snow squall" made travel "extremely difficult" on the interstate.
The crash took place just before 9:15 a.m. on I-94 near Wright County Road 18, according to a news release. Several vehicles caught fire.
