DANVERS, MA — Several residences in the area of Porter Street were without water service Wednesday afternoon because of a water main break.
Town officials said the break occurred about 2:30 p.m. in the area of 12 Porter Street. They said the break affected about 12 properties, including the Fairweather apartment building.
The town said at mid-afternoon on Wednesday that the restoration time was expected to be about four hours.
"Thank you for your patience and cooperation," the town said.
