Here are the top three stories in Buffalo today: Governor Kathy Hochul has announced an additional 39 #VaxForKids pop-up vaccination sites across the state, with five planned for Western New York. The goal of the clinics is to increase vaccination rates among children between the ages of 5 and 11. Buffalo's Johnnie B. Wiley Sports Pavilion will host a clinic this Saturday, Feb. 26 from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. (WGRZ)In early February, the Niagara Frontier Transit Authority (NFTA) cut service in response to labor shortages. This Tuesday, the Buffalo Common Council unanimously adopted a resolution asking the NFTA to restore the cuts immediately. In an effort to address the root problem of understaffing, the council is also asking the NFTA to develop a driver hiring program with application assistance and significant incentives. (WGRZ) A Buffalo native actress will star in a 2022 Christmas movie called "Romance On Ice." Charlene Amoia plays the best friend of an Olympic figure skater in the TV movie, which has been filming locally this week. Amoia, currently based in Los Angeles, said returning to her hometown for the shoot has been "the best."
