HAMDEN, CT — A Hamden man has been arrested in connection with a shooting in town last October, according to police. The shooting happened around 12 noon on Oct. 27 in the area of Concord Street near Dixwell Avenue, according to Detective Sean J. Dolan. There was a shootout between two people, according to Dolan. One of the shooters was identified as 35-year-old Timothy Thomas following an extensive investigation by Detective Jomo Crawford and Detective Andrew Lipford, Dolan said. Thomas suffered a gunshot injury to the arm during the shooting, according to Dolan. Thomas was arrested Monday on a warrant and charged with criminal attempt to commit first-degree assault, criminal possession of a firearm and carrying a pistol without a permit. Thomas was held in lieu of a $250,000. Dolan said Thomas was found to be in the possession of drugs at the time of his arrest. He was additionally charged with possession of narcotics and possession of narcotics with the intent to sell. He was held in lieu of a $50,000 bond on those charges with a court date of March 4.
