PRINCETON, NJ — Authorities on Wednesday identified the woman who was killed on Feb.15 after being struck by a car and then run over by several other vehicles on Route 1. Aisha Kearney, 40, of Trenton, was first struck by a Ford driven by a North Brunswick man on Route 1 near Buffalo Wild Wings at 10:40 p.m., according to West Windsor police. The driver immediately pulled his vehicle on the shoulder and attempted to aid Kearney, but before he could get to her, other vehicles hit her, police said. Only one other person who struck her, a Trenton resident driving a BMW, pulled over and waited for police to arrive, authorities said. Kearney was pronounced dead at the scene at 11 p.m., police said. According to the police, Kearney was dressed in dark clothing and her minibike did not have any lights. The identities of others involved in the crash were not released by the police. No charges have been filed against both drivers who waited for police to arrive and attempted to aid Kearney, authorities said. The collision remains under investigation.
