MORRIS COUNTY, NJ — A man was sentenced Friday to 28 years in prison for a string of sex crimes around Morris County, including human trafficking and aggravated sexual assault. Jeremiah Forde sexually assaulted a woman in Parsippany, coerced two people into prostitution using drugs and assaulted a man in Hanover, according to authorities. A Morris County jury returned a verdict July 15, deeming Forde guilty of several offenses regarding incidents from September 2018 in Parsippany. The jury found the former Dover resident guilty of aggravated sexual assault, sexual assault, aggravated criminal sexual contact and invasion of privacy. Forde pleaded guilty Nov. 16 to promoting prostitution of two women — one in Hanover and the other in Roxbury. The 41-year-old admitted to providing two women with drugs to coerce them into engaging in sexual acts for money in various hotels. The man also pleaded guilty to aggravated assault of a man in Hanover. These incidents occurred between August and November 2018. The Morris County man must serve about 16 years before he becomes parole-eligible. Forde will be required to register as a sex offender and get on parole supervision for life. Thanks for reading.
