Here are the top three stories today in Franklin: A missing 20-year-old from Franklin was last seen while away at school in Georgia, and police are asking for the public's help locating him. Carson Jacobson was last seen on Monday in downtown Savannah on Perry Lane, according to local authorities. Jacobson has been described as 6-foot-1 with brown hair with a blond streak and was reportedly last seen wearing khaki pants and a burgundy shirt. (WKRN News 2)A Franklin Police Department Detective is set to retire this Thursday, Feb. 24 after 25 years of service on the force. Family, friends, colleagues, and community members will celebrate Detective Sergio Guerra's retirement at 2:30 p.m. at Franklin Police Headquarters at 900 Columbia Ave. Detective Guerra started patrolling Franklin's neighborhoods in 1997 and has served as a patrol officer, hostage negotiator, and firearms instructor before being promoted to detective. (williamsonherald.com)The City of Franklin has announced a fundraising campaign for the city's first inclusive playground. The project, named Ellie G's Dreamworld, is the result of a partnership with Friends of Franklin Parks, Franklin Tomorrow, and a host of other partners.
