WHEATON, IL — Fat Tuesday comes but once a year, and with it the promise of those deep-fried Polish confections that many find as hard to resist as they can be to pronounce: paczki. The beloved donut-like treats will be available in and around Wheaton on Paczki Day 2022, which falls on Tuesday, March 1. Some bakeries require paczki pre-orders before Fat Tuesday and others will have a limited amount of paczki starting on Feb. 24. Here's a roundup of where you can buy paczki in the area. DeEtta's Bakery428 W. 5th Ave., NapervilleDeEtta's is taking pre-orders by Sunday, but they also plan to have plenty of paczki in store on Paczki Day. Flavors include apricot, cheese, custard with chocolate frosting and strawberry with whipped cream.
