JOLIET, IL — A 53-year-old Joliet man was arrested last week after Joliet police say Alfredo Noriega crashed into two parked cars in the 600 block of Virginia Street because Noriega was too intoxicated to drive. A Joliet Fire Department ambulance took him to St. Joe's hospital because of his level of intoxication, according to Joliet police. Noriega was later booked into detention by Joliet police on charges of aggravated DUI and driving while license revoked. The Joliet crash happened around 9:45 p.m. on Feb. 16. "Noriega had struck two unoccupied parked vehicles while he was eastbound on Virginia," Joliet police reports show. "Noriega admitted to consuming alcohol and causing the vehicle crash." Joliet police said that Noriega's driver's license was revoked for a previous DUI. According to jail records, Noriega spent five days in custody until he was released from the Will County Jail early Monday morning when he posted 10 percent of his $50,000 jail. Noriega lives in the 3800 block of Joliet's Brenton Drive, jail logs indicate.
