WILMINGTON, IL — The Will County State's Attorney's Office of Jim Glasgow has charged a rural Wilmington man with unlawful restraint, criminal sexual abuse, aggravated criminal sexual abuse and attempted criminal sexual assault in connection with an incident last June. Charges were filed Wednesday against Jeremy J. Sorensen, who turns 32 in April. The complaint indicates that Sorensen held the juvenile teenage girl in a shed at Sorensen's residence, 32814 South Indian Trail Road and engaged in sexual conduct last June 21. The girl was at least 13 years but younger than 17, according to the criminal complaint. The Will County Sheriff's Office conducted the investigation that led to Wednesday's four charges against the rural Wilmington man. Will County Judge Fred Harvey issued a warrant for Sorensen's arrest and bail was set at $250,000. The warrant indicates that Sorensen is to have no contact with the victim of this case. As of Wednesday night, Sorensen had not been captured by Will County authorities. The warrant indicates he works for a company in Minooka on Wildy Road. Sorensen is white, 6-foot-1, 190 lbs, with brown eyes and brown hair, according to the warrant.
