JOLIET, IL — This past weekend, Joliet Patch broke the news that Sugar Ray, Collective Soul and Ann Wilson of Heart were listed on the website for the Taste of Joliet's June 24 Friday night performance at Joliet's Memorial Stadium. After Patch notified the Joliet Park District of plans to publish the story, the names of the music acts were removed from the Taste of Joliet website. Park district director Brad Staab indicated he hoped to announce the music acts for the Taste of Joliet within the next few weeks. In some years, Staab announced his Taste of Joliet concert line up in January. Taste of Joliet typically draws about 57,000 people over the three-day period during the third week in June. The Taste of Joliet did not take place in 2020 and 2021 because the Joliet Park District had health and safety concerns surrounding the spread of the coronavirus. Back in 2019, "Foreigner" was the main headliner for the last Taste of Joliet concert. Foreigner performed in 2019 at the Taste of Joliet in Memorial Stadium. File/John Ferak/Patch Given that the Taste of Joliet's Friday night concert line up is already being talked about, Joliet Patch has compiled a rundown of the music talent and their career highlights: 1.
