LIVERMORE, CA — The Livermore Valley Half Marathon is seeking several volunteers next week. Volunteers are needed in the water station, shirt and medal distribution, course marshals, and more. Each volunteer will receive a t-shirt, snacks, and drinks. Course Marshal volunteers will receive free entry to a future Oak Run Co. event. Thursday, March 3 (4-7 p.m.) Launch Party & Packet Pickup @ Altamont Beer Works 4 vol positions to fill Friday, March 4 (4:00p-7:00p) Packet Pickup Party @ Sunrise Mountain Sports 20 vol positions to fill Saturday, March 5 (11:00a-2:30p) Packet Pickup Party @ Darcie Kent Vineyard 20 vol positions to fill Sunday, March 6 (6:00a-11:00a) Start & Finish Line Support @ Volunteer Tent in Downtown Livermore 30 vol positions to fill Sunday, March 6 (5:30a-11:30a) Course Marshals - *must be 16 - 99 years old to volunteer for this task* 17 vol positions to fill The half-marathon race starts at S. Livermore Avenue and First Street in Downtown Livermore, and consists of a roughly three-hour loop through Robertson Park, Holdener Park, Wente Vineyard, Sycamore Gardens, and Olivina Arch. Tickets are available here, and are on sale until March 6. $139 buys a spot in the race, a commemorative wine tasting glass, beer and wine tastings, an event t-shirt, a finisher's medal, free photos, and more.
