GILROY, CA — A Gilroy woman was sentenced Wednesday to 45 days in prison after she joined hundreds of rioters to storm the Capitol on Jan. 6 of last year, NBC News reported Mariposa Castro told a judge she was "sucked" in by "dark energy forces" the day she went live on Facebook and entered the U.S. Capitol building, NBC News reported. Castro pleaded guilty in November. U.S. District Judge Reggie B. Walton fined Castro $5,000 for "undermining" a peaceful transfer of power, NBC News Reported.
