Description
CHICAGO, IL — Tuesday marked a once-in-a-lifetime phenomenon. The date, when written numerically, was 2/22/22. Babies born this day, also known as "Twosday," will forever have a special birthday, and one girl in Bridgeview is among them.
Making her birthday extra special, Amany was born at 2:22 p.m. — continuing the "2" repetition to perfection — at AMITA Health Saints Mary and Elizabeth Medical Center Chicago. The daughter of Reem Ghunaim and Arafat Ighneim, who live in Bridgeview, the little girl weighed 6 pounds, 12 ounces and measured 19.5 inches long.
"Both mom and baby Amany are doing well," hospital representatives told Patch.
Besides looking neat, Tuesday's date is also a palindrome, meaning the phrase can be read the same forward and backward. It's the first ubiquitous date number since Nov. 11, 2011, when the numerical date read 11/11/11.
