CHARLOTTE, NC — The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools mask mandate will be allowed to expire March 7, according to a unanimous decision during Tuesday night's school board meeting.
This comes on the heels of the county deciding to lift its own mask mandate just last week.
The county's mask mandate will formally expire Feb. 26; the school system's mask mandate will expire March 7.
"To put it in simple terms, we are going to have to live with COVID," said Superintendent Earnest Winston.
Winston also said there would be no tolerating anyone who bullies people who choose to still wear a mask.
