Redpath Gardens, started in 2013, is a seasonal residential perennial and pot installation gardening company. Maintenance Crew gardeners focuses on all areas of horticulture and gardening; responsibilities include working with other staff on installation, care, and maintenance of flowers and other plant materials at our clients homes. The job runs from April through November with full-time and part-time options currently available. Crew Lead oversees the maintenance crews in planning, organizing and developing of activities at the clients. Gardening is a highly physically demanding job. Duties include installation, maintenance, and removal of annuals, perennials, and other plants at various garden sites and planter locations. Ensuring all plants at are adequately weeded, watered, pruned, and fertilized so as to remain healthy and attractive throughout the growing season. Candidates need to be team-oriented and able to work independently. Minimum qualifications: Must be 18 years of age. Most posses valid Minnesota driver's license and have a good driving record and access to reliable transportation. Ability to perform manual tasks for extended periods of time. Addition qualifications: Experience in a horticulture related field. Associates degree in horticulture or related degree, or working towards one. The job regularly requires the employee to stand; walk; and use hands to handle, feel or operate objects, and tools. The employee is occasionally required to sit, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, and talk or hear. Candidates will frequently be exposed to wet, humid, hot, or cold conditions.
