Barker & Associates, Inc dba Star Construction is bidding on the upcoming project for SHRA and are requesting Quotes from all qualified MBE/WBE and Section 3 Subcontractors. ALL other Subcontractors/Suppliers are encouraged to provide proposals for the following project: Project: 2771 Grove Ave Site Preparations IFB: 2208-ma Possible Trades/Services include, but not limited to: Grubbing, Grading, Trucking. Submit all Proposals/Quotes via e-mail or fax to (916) 481-4824 indicating what trade you are bidding on/or before Tuesday, March 1st by 10:00 am PST Note: This project is a subject to State of California prevailing wage rates Star Construction is an Equal Opportunity Employer and encourages participation of MBE/WBE and/or Section 3 firms regardless of race, sex, color, age, religion, gender, disability, ethnicity or national origin. We intend to award MBE/WBE/Section 3 subcontractors and suppliers contracts to the maximum extent possible. Star Construction may offer special assistance to such qualified bidders to ensure maximum project participation. This contract is subject to State Labor Standards, California Labor Code including but not limited to Sections 1771, 1744, 1775, 1776, 1777.58, 1815, compliance monitoring and enforcement by SHRA and the California Department of Industrial Relations (DIR), affirmative action requirements. This is a Public Works project. Per California Labor Code Section 1771.1 (a), a contractor or subcontractor shall not be qualified to bid on, be listed in a bid proposal, subject to the requirements of Section 4104 of the Public Contract Code, or engage in the performance of any contract for public works, as defined in this chapter, unless currently registered and qualified to performance public work pursuant to Section 1725.5.
