Family Service League is seeking a full-time Maintenance Worker, who under the supervision of the Property Manager, will be responsible for the maintenance of the interior and exterior of property and grounds, in accordance with Suffolk County regulations. RESPONSIBILITIES: Prepare rooms for occupancy, including hanging sheet rock, spackle, painting, and routine maintenance. Perform electrical and structural repairs or installations. Perform mid-level plumbing duties: snake lines, remove and install toilets, and repair leaking pipes in ceilings, walls or under countertops. Conduct regularly scheduled safety checks externally and internally throughout the building, including all equipment. Perform or schedule repairs as necessary. Maintain the interior of the property by performing routine maintenance tasks, including removal and replacement of light bulbs and ceiling tiles, unclogging drains, drywall repair and painting. Notify Property Manager timely of the need for repairs or replacement of equipment or furniture. Perform heavy cleaning duties, including cleaning floors, shampooing rugs, washing walls and glass, and removing rubbish. Maintain the exterior of the property by blowing leaves, picking up trash and debris, sweeping, trimming, weeding, and removing snow and ice.
