Applied Behavior Technologies, LLC is seeking Behavior Technicians to work in the Reno/Sparks or Carson City communities, to work with children who have autism or other intellectual disabilities, at the child’s home. Technicians will be primarily working between the hours of 3pm - 8pm M-F. Technicians are required to work a minimum of 10 hours per week and can work as many as 35 hours per week if they have open availability. All training will be provided to prepare you to become a Registered Behavior Technician and pass the certification exam. All exam fees are paid for by the employer. This training and certification prepare you to work one to one with a child, providing behavior therapy. This is a great position for those seeking degrees in psychology, applied behavior analysis, social work, occupational therapy, speech therapy or other health related fields. The requirements for the position are a minimum of 12 college credits in psychology, sociology, child development or other human studies. You must be at least 18 years of age. You must be able to pass a background check (paid for by the employer) and have a current driver’s license and be available a minimum of 3 evenings per week. The salary during the initial 40 hours of training is 15.50 hr, with an increase with certifications and frequently thereafter. Current RBT's, receive a $750.00 sign on bonus and salary is negotiable and based on experience. Mileage is reimbursed according to IRS guidelines.
