Playing since 10yrs old. Some years back after a decade of touring. I burnt out from too many projects at the same time while teaching @ a nonprofit in San Diego. So, I packed it all up in a storage unit and took a sorta spiritual reprieve from percussion. I have pro gear, a practice space in North Austin, and a chill but super serious sorta music work ethic. I have toured reggae, rock, funk & pop. Studied Jazz & Latin (I'm actually working through some old Weather Report Chester Thompson charts right now). Grew up preteen years playing Metal in garages and by 21 I was playing wedding and shuffle blues bands, so I do it all. Quite literally. I'm looking for a crew that is serious about their music. I'm not looking for jam sessions or hangouts. I work for myself so my schedule is wide open and I am loyal with some wild excitement to dedicate myself to a project. With all that said. I will side note this with a caveat: I am only two months back from a long time off. It's coming back so fast and my style/creativity apparently never slowed down. However, my meter, pocket & chops are in the works. I expect to be back to where I left off in the coming months. I doubt anyone will even notice. But I'm cool working with a click and I am all about the music, before my part in it. I'm not looking to express my flash/skills. I am looking to make some quality music we are all proud to call our own.
