TPM is currently seeking a Leasing Team Member to join our team of quality professionals working out of our Portland, Tigard or Hillsboro Or locations. We have this need due to promotions. The Leasing Team Member is full time, works 40 hours a week (with the possibility for occasional overtime), and will be eligible for our generous benefits package after the waiting period. (60 days) This position is ideal for candidates with experience in general Office and Sales work, have a good work ethic and willingness to work with and on a team. Average Work Schedule: 2 weekend days, 3 weekday days. This does require the weekends with two days off during the week. Direct Supervisor: Property Manager Essential Duties and Responsibilities The Leasing Team Member markets and leases to potential residents and provides customer service to current residents while encouraging renewals. The Leasing Team Member tours prospective residents, answers phones and assists in the leasing process including paperwork and renewal activity. Also assists in developing and implementing resident retention and lease renewal programs. This dynamic individual must possess strong sales abilities, phone etiquette and excellent customer service skills. Performs all other duties as directed by the Property Manager, and assists the overall team effort in any way possible. Qualifications: Minimum of one to two years previous experience in residential property management, sales, or in person customer service. Must have competency in the following: Excellent communication, organizational and coordinating abilities Computer literacy Competency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook- YARDI software experience preferred Strong sales skills/ability to close a sale Ability to deal well with others Good verbal and written communication skills The ability to prioritize and perform multiple tasks concurrently Strong customer service orientation Basic office organizational skills: filing, supplies inventory and ordering, mailing/shipping, office equipment upkeep Telephone, fax, photocopier Ability to understand and clearly explain legal documents Fluency in English both verbally and non-verbally Must be able to effectively carry out all of the essential job duties.
