Description
Durable Medical Equipment Technician ($2700 - $3200 per month) is responsible for,
* Keeping a record of inventory in the warehouse weekly and monthly.
* Working directly with management for inventory orders.
* Organizing products in the warehouse to ensure safety and compliance with state, BOC, and CMS regulations.
* Selecting appropriate equipment for deliveries to patient’s homes or facilities, product set up, instructing on how to use the equipment.
* Making deliveries by adhering strictly to the traffic laws and regulations as established by the State and/or DOT.
* Ensuring that equipment delivered has been serviced, cleaned, and is ready for patient use.
* Completes, organizes, ensures the accuracy of, and submits all paperwork related to deliveries and maintenance to the supervisor at the end of each day.
* Obtains patient signatures for billing purposes and regulatory requirements.
* Completes Manifest/Shipping papers for hazardous materials and legal documentation requirements as needed for DOT.
* Maintains Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), Board of Certification/Accreditation, and other regulatory agency standards in accordance with company policy as communicated by management.
* Communicates in writing and/or verbally any adverse conditions in the patient environment to the Clinical Staff, Customer Service Staff, and/or Supervisor.
* Maintains equipment and supply inventory for the assigned vehicle. Assures daily vehicle inspection and maintenance.
