This is an excellent opportunity for someone working remotely, part-time or with a flexible schedule, who is looking to save money and live rent-free in spacious furnished accommodations. I’m a 40-year-old male quadriplegic looking to hire a live-in assistant who will be responsible for helping taking care of me and helping me live independently. Responsibilities will be divided between care giving and household tasks. I don’t need constant care, so there is plenty of time for you to pursue your own projects. I’m looking for an energetic, responsible person with a fun personality and a laid back lifestyle that will mesh with how I live my life. I am looking for someone to work three consecutive days, ideally Friday-Sunday or Saturday-Monday. I work full-time from my home office and during those three days the tasks will vary, from driving and cooking, to cleaning and yard work. There is ample opportunity for someone who has other remote work to do so additionally – whether professional or educational. A good personality and work ethic is a must, ideally I’d like to find someone interested in a long term relationship. Benefits Assistant will receive a monthly salary in addition to room and board, internet, laundry and utilities included. The board includes a large suite with a bedroom, bathroom, personal space and storage space in addition to access to large common spaces and kitchen shared with me. If you work from home or are in school there is ample time to pursue your own ends during the time you work with me. Caregiving Responsibilities Assistant will be responsible for learning basic care routines and being available for emergencies and as a backup for other part-time caregivers. No previous nursing or care giving experience is required but is a bonus. Experience transferring is also a bonus. Some lifting is required. Household Responsibilities Assistant will be responsible for cooking meals, shopping, laundry and keeping the house clean. Assistant will also be responsible for driving me on a regular basis.
