Arizona Trench Company is looking for a Fleet Mechanic to join our team! We are a dynamic, fast growing Trenching Company. Job duties but not limited to: • Perform diagnosis, repair, maintenance of fleet • Keep equipment available for use by completing preventive maintenance schedules including changing oil, tires, brakes, lights, and filters • Assist Mechanic support staff in repairs and maintenance • Ability to recognized wear and damaged parts • Maintain shop and work area in a neat and organized condition in support of all staff • Self-starter with the ability to take on new tasks without a lot of supervision • Ensuring that Health and Safety is the #1 priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and acting in a safe manner at all times • Perform services and repairs from basic preventative maintenance inspections and troubleshooting, all the way up to brake work, suspension and drive-line repairs on medium and heavy-duty trucks and trailers • Perform DOT, BIT, FMCSA inspections and corresponding repairs • Familiarity with diesel emissions systems • Accurately record time, parts, and inspection checklists • Overtime available on occasion (depends on workload and customer demand of units) • Hydro-vac / Guzzler experience a plus • Class A or B, CDL is preferred but not required. Position Requirements: • Excellent communication skills • Experience working on heavy equipment: CAT,, loader, backhoe, skid steer, excavators, etc. • Experience working on heavy and light fleet: heavy duty Semi trucks, GM Diesel trucks • Excellent problem solving/judgment skills and high level of attention to detail and accuracy • Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks and meet all deadlines • Work in a fast-paced environment • Ability to arrive on-time and ready for work. • Team player. Be willing to help in areas outside of your job description.
