Teacher Assistant- Preschool ProgramDepartment: Early Childcare StaffResponsibilities: Works with the Lead Teacher to prepare and implement the daily lesson plans and ensures a high level of interaction with childrenExperience with Creative Curriculum preferred. Strong familiarity with lesson planning incorporating all domains of the Ohio Early Learning Content Standards.Maintains a clean, safe and emotionally supportive environment that is conducive to learning and is centered on the needs and abilities of the childrenCompletes developmental screenings & assessmentsMaintains documentation for services provided, progress reports and attendanceWorks as part of a team with Lead Teacher, center staff and DirectorBuilds positive relationships with familiesParticipates in staff meetings, conferences, professional development Qualifications: Coursework or Associates degree in ECE ( Lead Teacher Assistant position pays $1.00/ hr extra incentive); Child Development Associate (CDA) certificate or enrolled, orHigh School Diploma with experience in a classroom settingWillingness to attend CDA program or AA in Early ChildhoodLevel 1 or 2 for teacher assistant or 3 CPL preferred for the Lead TA positionWillingness to update job knowledge with required ODJFS Licensing Rules and SUTQ professional development opportunities and industry trends Demonstrate cross cultural competency while working with Horizon's diverse population.We seek someone who is prompt and reliable and who possesses a genuine love of children Salary Range:10.75 (base rate) and additional rates may apply for education level and additional duty assignment(s)Employee Benefits: Health/Medical coverage (30+hr/wk)Tuition ReimbursementPaid professional development403(b) Retirement Savings PlanPre-paid employment screenings and on-boardingHolidays and Paid Time Off after completion of Probationary periodDiscounted Childcare at any Horizon Center
