Description
Mother nature calling you yet?
The fresh air and springtime beauties gracing these hills are beckoning.
Feel invited to join us, as we go into the woods to learn about what’s growing here. Most plants can be used, and were used by our ancestors for food, fiber or medicine. Humans, plants and animals have co-evolved through history and are deeply interdependent. Let’s respectfully get into relation with them.
Right now the hills and meadows are brimming with happy new growth. Come visit these ancient natives, along with the immigrants that came with the settlers. Many invasives like mustard, fennel and oats are edible and have practical uses.
Please bring water, a snack and dress for comfort. It’s not a big hike, but an immersive experience that may involve sitting on the ground. Rain or mud reschedules.
No foraging on public lands.
Pre-register for directions to the location. $20.- cash or venmo.
