Repair our failing infrastructure. Renegotiate trade deals with China that benefited the U.S. To a conservative, these are all the things you want to hear.
The reality is, Trump failed ad making any of these promises happen. Trumps actions did not meet up to the expectations of his words. Trump was all talk and no action. This is why Trump lost support before the 2020 campaign. People do not believe his promises any longer.
