Join the next Knight Campus entrepreneurship speaker series event and discover how Arlyne Simon is changing the face of inventing.
Although the path to innovation may differ in academia and industry, both product development approaches benefit from 1) zeroing on the problem being addressed and 2) understanding the target customer or end user persona. This talk will focus on lessons learned in commercializing immunoassays and designing medical devices like hypodermic syringes and ultrasound machines. Interestingly, these lessons of customer-centricity also apply when sparking an inventor’s mindset in K-5 students through the Abby Invents STEM picture book series.
