Why First Fridays...Come learn something new and meet someone new. My name is Brittany Wayman and I am pumped to join the team. A little info about me. I am a native hoosier. I was born and raised in Indianapolis. I am married to my college sweetheart and we have two children that attend our local public school. I graduated from Indiana University with a degree in Elementary Education and hold a Masters degree in Early Childhood Education from IUPUI. I was a classroom teacher for ten years at a school in the Indianapolis area. God called me into ministry in 2017, and I spent four years at a multi-site church in the Indianapolis area. I had the opportunity to lead staff and volunteer teams of over 400. In my role, I had the privilege to create the vision, establish the plan, and help execute Christmas and Easter services. I helped form our engagement pathway, as well as, membership classes. I had the privilege to facilitate weddings and funeral services, as well. I finished a degree in discipleship from TCM in 2019. Our family lives in the heart of the city. We love it here. We enjoy exploring. From new parks to new restaurants - creating new and engaging experiences for our family is what brings us joy. I personally love to meet new people, try local restaurants, and I love a good trip to the Nordstrom Rack. I am currently the Director of Alumni for The Advancement Center for Washington Township Schools and North Central Alumni. I am also on the Central Indiana Youth for Christ team as the staff coach. In addition to those roles, I serve as PTO President of my children's elementary school. I also am involved in my sorority as the chapter advisor and alumni advisor for Theta Nu Xi Multicultural Sorority, Incorporated. My purpose statement is to: Make a difference in my family and community by loving God and loving people. My hope is that you can see that in living color through our interactions.
