Feast in the Middle East is a culinary journey of the Holy Land with amazing dishes from both Israeli and Palestinian Origins. A Feast of Epic Proportions! Khairallah Halal Meat and Zeitman’s Grocery are teaming up to bring you the Feast in the Middle East. Taking you on a journey of Israel & Palestine through food. We start off with a grazing platter with fruits, cheeses, olives, and pickled veggies to excite your taste buds for the delights to come. Next we move on to Salatim- Salads and Dips that meld the two people. Hummus, Babaganouj(Roasted Eggplant Dip), Tabbouleh(Parsley, Mint, Tomato, Bulgar Wheat, and Lemon), Muhammara(Spicy Red Pepper Dip), and Salat Katzutz(Israeli Salad-Tomato, Cucumber, Olives, Bell Pepper, Lemon, Olive Oil) to freshen yo our palate. Then on to Appetizers-Falafel(Chickpeas and Spices Deep Fried) Kibbeh(Bulgar Wheat, Beef and Spices Deep Fried), Manakish Za’ataar(Hearth Baked Bread topped with Olive Oil and Za’ataar, a sesame, herb mixture), and Sfiha(Hearth Baked Bread topped with Ground Beef and Spices). Then we head to the Meat of the Meal, the Entrées- Kharoof Mahshi(Whole Lamb roasted and stuffed with Basmati Rice with Cashews, Barberry, Almonds, and Saffron) and Roasted Aubergine(Roasted Eggplant topped with drizzled Sesame Sauce, Sliced Almonds, and Pomegranate Syrup). Finally we finish off the Feast with a sweet touch, Dessert-Fresh Flaky Baklava(Puff Pastry with Honey and Pistachio) and Chocolate Babka and Honey-Date Frozen Yogurt(Chocolate Stuffed Twist Bread and Greek Yogurt blended with Local Honey, and chopped dates frozen and then topped with more honey, dates, and chopped pistachios). #peaceinthemiddleeast #israel #palestine #friendship #community #local
