CREAM/DISRAELI GEARS - ALBUM COVER TRIBUTE at The Venue! The Venue is pleased to present their monthly ALBUM COVER TRIBUTE - this month featuring the songs of CREAM from their album DISRAELI GEARS, Sunday, March 13 at 7 pm. Doors open 6pm. Advanced Premium Seating - $20 Advanced General Admission - $15 + $5 at the door INDOOR SHOWS: MASKS & VACCINATION REQUIRED FOR ENTRY All patrons will need to be fully vaccinated with an FDA emergency use-authorized vaccine in order to attend a show at The Venue. Proof of vaccination must be shown at the Box Office entrance, along with a photo I.D. to enter the event space. Patrons must be masked at all times, including during the show, except while consuming beverages while seated. Masks must cover the nose and mouth. CREAM/DISRAELI GEARS Disraeli Gears is an important record in the Cream canon. They found their footing in the studio blending blues with psychedelia. Their sound had evolved so had their writing. Songs line Sunshine Of Your Love and Strange Brew would go on to be Cream classics. Scott Tipping will be joined by Kofi Baker and Kris Lohn for the performance. Kofi is indeed Ginger’s son and his feel behind the kit verifies it. Kris and Kofi play a lot together and the two have a natural chemistry. “It is a ball playing with these two,” Scott Tipping says, “Playing this music with them feels so natural. People in the audience can expect all of the songs from the album and a second set of hits and deep cuts. But true to what Cream was about, there is a lot of jamming and improvisation when the three of us get together. It’s going to be a great show.” At The Venue, we book nationally-recognized talent in all genres of music from blues and big band, to rock and world music, and everything in between. Frequently, our opening acts feature regional and local musicians and songwriters. Our listening room seats 200 with no obstructed views, and our outdoor stage area can fit several hundred festival fans. The Venue is operated by the Fox Valley Music Foundation, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to music education, promotion and preservation.
