It’s where you can come to sign up and participate in Fun Field Trips and events all throughout the greater Dallas Fort Worth Metroplex area, Texas, and beyond. We will also schedule Athletic Activities throughout the year that are not about being competitive, but about moving and having fun doing it! Some events are Bowling, Skating, Frisbee, PE, Swimming, Ball Games, Poker, Trampoline Parks, local playgrounds, parks, splash pads, nature trails, water parks, amusement parks, etc. to enjoy outdoor activities. Our ultimate goal for this meetup group is to create long-lasting friendships for our children. ABOUT Fun Field Trips and Friendships in DFW Metro We are a passionate group of Women dedicated to supporting our families by helping to create a safe close-knit village made up of Women like yourself. We are female-owned and operated by Mimi Ross. Fun Field Trips and Friendships in DFW Metro was created because being a mom can be joyous, stressful, wonderful, frustrating, awesome, and trying all at the same time. We also know it can be a lonely and under-appreciated profession. Fun Field Trips and Friendships in DFW Metro is seeking a group of active Women who are ready to get out of the house with their children and meet other Women or who are seeking regular dedicated homeschool classes. We seek to become a very diverse group of vegans, vegetarians, omnivores, homeschoolers, unschoolers, public/private schoolers, SAHMs, WAHMs, WOHMs, vaccinating, members who practice or believe in many different faiths and lifestyles, etc. doing whatever THEY think is best for THEIR families. We respectfully acknowledge that every child has unique needs and that every parent in our group is doing her very best to help their children become no-limit individuals and responsible, proactive citizens the best way SHE knows how. We are generally a very open, accepting and inclusive group for ALL Women/guardians. Our purpose is to connect Women/guardians via a variety of get-togethers and encourage new friendships and a support structure that we hope will develop and nurture above and beyond for you, your child, or children who are in Kindergarten-5th Grade (5 years to 11 years old). Our aim is to be supportive, engaging, enriching, explorative, and educational. women who can appreciate open communication, honesty, friendship, who RSVP when they want to come, and are courteous enough to let us know when they have changed their minds. Who can allow their children to work out their own conflicts, but also don't allow bullying of any kind. Those who are okay with someone speaking to their child if they see them doing something wrong and who are committed to do the same in a respectful way with our children's safety in mind first. It's a safe place for women to meet together to laugh, cry, and embrace the journey of motherhood. We want to encourage women to be honest, to think out loud, to feel more equipped, and to find their identity by journeying alongside one another. Fun Field Trips and Friendships in DFW Metro will coordinate playdates, post field trips, questions, struggles, ideas, encouragement, make plans, friends, network, announce scheduled activities, offer encouragement to each other, provide childcare and homeschool classes, share information about suspicious or criminal activity to keep our children safe, celebrate together, connect with other Women and learn from others who are different than us, provide tips for things to do or services to try, find a supportive community and discuss things of interest and of use to families of K-5 children. We will create and organize events to be held in a public place. You are more than welcome to connect with parents individually once you feel comfortable to do so and ask them if they would like to attend personal or private events. But this platform will only be used to have meet ups in a public safe environment where every member can attend should they decide to do so. We are united by the desire to provide a positive and open-minded safe community for our children, and we welcome others who feel the same way.
