TRI-VALLEY, CA — Dublin is launching a day care program to give a helping hand to working Tri-Valley parents from August 17 through September 25.
Kids in first to fifth grades will be overseen during school distance learning hours and play afterward as part of the Learning in a Virtual Environment (LIVE) 'n' Rec program, the city said. Parks and Community Services staff will oversee their schedules and help them complete online learning courses.
Kids in groups of 12 or less will play together and participate in games, activities, sports, arts and crafts, creative play and fitness activities.
There will be daily temperature checks, social distancing, frequent hand washing, and sanitizing supplies and equipment, the city said.
Kids must bring their own food, drink, snacks, schooling materials, including schoolwork passwords, computers, headphones, notebooks, pencils and pens, and other tools.
There will be two three-week sessions. Dublin residents will be charged $300 and non-residents will be charged $360. The program runs from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. weekdays at the following sites:
