Join us on Tuesdays at our Chicago space For Word to the Wise a class based on Imam Ghazali’s book titled "Dear Beloved Son".
How can we best spend our time to draw nearer to Allah on a daily basis? Thousands of commitments and distractions limit our ability to worship and prepare for the next life. Knowing where to start and how to use our precious time is a challenge many of us face.
Dear Beloved Son is Imam Ghazali’s response to these questions. The letters in this book provide a concise summary of topics like knowledge, intention, and companionship. Each contains timeless wisdom, spiritual knowledge, and practical advice on how we can best use our time in this world beneficially. Imam al-Ghazali’s letter is critical in an age where it’s easy to lose sight of the eternal soul and its relation to the Eternal One. We hope to uplift our spirits with weekly reflections on this text with our teacher Ubaydullah Evans.
