Description

Join the Red Line Parkway Initiative for a bike ride and narrated tour along a 5-mile portion of the 32+ mile Red Line Parkway. The ride will be punctuated with stops to describe the progress to complete the trail, including new opportunities for public space, trail-oriented development, mobility connectivity, and access to nature. The goals of this event are to inform industry experts on the project and to facilitate impromptu conversations on opportunities along the corridor. We'll meet on the southeast corner of 4th & Trinity Streets in Downtown Austin. The 5-mile ride will follow the Red Line Parkway into East Austin, then north through Rosewood to the Cherrywood Neighborhood. We'll end at a café in the Cherrywood or Mueller Neighborhood. Including stops, we anticipate the one-way ride to be about 90 minutes. (More details to be announced.) (We will not have an organized ride back to the start location.) Thanks goes to AIA Austin, Texas ASLA, ULI Austin, and CNU-CTX for help with promotion to their members. We also thank our generous event sponsors for their support: McCann Adams Studio, Electric Avenue, Parkhill, RVi Planning + Landscape Architecture
