The New Creatures and David Taylor and the Tallboys ALL AGES The New Creatures, David Taylor and the Tallboys The New Creatures and David Taylor and the Tallboys The New Creatures The New Creatures was formed when John and Ben met each other in college at Montana State University. Their love of rock music brought them together as they both had hopes of starting a band. Years later after parting ways they regrouped in North Carolina to form what is now The New Creatures. They met their drummer Dino through a lucky craigslist add and the band was complete. Matt Sloop filled out the lineup on drums shortly thereafter and the band took off running. Originally written as solo singer-songwriter songs, the Tallboys take David’s tunes and turn them into rocknroll bangers that make you want to stomp your feet and drink at least one too many beers. Despite only having been a band since early 2019, David Taylor & The Tallboys have already started making waves in the music scene. They have played at local festivals, house parties, and venues such as The Evening Muse, Snug Harbor, Visulite Theatre, The Cave, and The Pour House. They have shared the stage with bands like The Black Lillies, Swim In The Wild, Featherpocket, The New Creatures, and Juniper Avenue. At the end of 2019, the Tallboys took to Maldek studio, home base of drummer Matt Sloop, to record 5 songs for a soon to be released EP. Of course, 2020 struck and slowed things down but the boys didn't stop. DT started writing songs during the pandemic and turned out more material than ever. Fast forward to the end of 2021 and the Tallboys announced their forthcoming EP titled "Get Me Drunk", set to be released March 4th, 2022.
