Meet Elizabeth Dampier, Executive Director of Kaleideum INdeavor is a monthly luncheon, featuring a local leader, focused on topics that are relevant to your business interests and the inner workings of your local economy…so you can be INformed, INvolved and INvested in your community. A hot lunch is included! Kaleideum was formed in 2016 by the merger of The Children’s Museum of Winston-Salem and SciWorks, establishing a single organization with a mission to “inspire wonder, curiosity, and lifelong learning in our children and community through interactive play and discovery.” Kaleideum broke ground on a new museum in the heart of downtown Winston-Salem in August 2021 with an expected completion date of late 2023. In the interim, the museum’s existing locations — Kaleideum Downtown (formerly The Children’s Museum) and Kaleideum North (formerly SciWorks) — continue to meet a vital community need as part of the learning ecosystem. Located in the heart of downtown Winston-Salem, Flywheel is more than a coworking space, it is the headquarters of a thriving, buzzing and electrified ecosystem of entrepreneurship and innovation. With a mentorship network that includes founders with successful exits, venture capitalists, marketing experts, business development specialists, micropreneurs, freelancers, consultants, and financial analysts; and unrivaled programming to educate and engage startups, entrepreneurs, freelancers and creative professionals, Flywheel is the hub of Winston’s growing startup community.
