Join us for our March 11th NKBPA monthly meeting at 8 am at Emerald Youth on Central! Learn more about the College of Dental Medicine at LMU from Blake Lawson Blake Lawson joined Lincoln Memorial University in September 2021 as the Assistant Director of Development, Health Sciences Division in the Office of University Advancement. Lawson leads development for the College of Dental Medicine and raises awareness for LMU health science programs in his role. Primarily, he focuses on creating opportunities to build revenue through partnerships, donations, student scholarship opportunities, and other fundraising efforts. Lawson brings experience working in higher education and has participated in various philanthropic efforts before joining LMU. Lawson received his MBA and Bachelor of Science in Marketing and Entrepreneurship from the University of Tennessee where he served as both a graduate teaching assistant and as the vice president of philanthropy for the Tennessee Organization of MBAs (TOMBA). Before joining LMU, Lawson served as the assistant director of annual fund marketing with Vanderbilt University. Furthermore, Lawson currently sits on the Board of Directors for the Tennessee Valley Coalition for the Homeless (TVCH). In his free time, Lawson enjoys exercising and has operated commercially and independently as a personal fitness trainer. Don’t forget to renew your membership this month. The North Knoxville Business & Professional Association was established in June of 2003 by a core group of local business professionals who had a passion for restoring and improving the North Knoxville community. Since 2003 the organization has grown to a membership of more than 100 businesses and individuals as well as a deeply involved board of directors. We welcome new members and support the positive development and growth of relationships in the business community.NKBPA provides support of students through the Fulton High School Alumni Association, scholarship programs, and fundraisers such as golf or bowling tournaments. In addition, money is also given to help support local non-profit organizations serving the diverse population of North Knoxville.
