Drummer for an avant-rock band.I am working with a violinist, and we are writing material.There are a number of influences and it helps if you share some of them: Swans, Diamanda Galas, Godspeed You!Black Emperor A Silver Mt. Zion, John Zorn, Masada, Owing to circumstances, we find ourselves in need of an older, mature bassist – primarily late 60's early 70's rock and blues and some Brit power pop, but not the “classic rock” sh*t you hear over and over and over and over again on the radio – plus some 80's and 90's. We rehearse in Black River and this IS NOT a full time weekly 9-1 bar gig – mainly festivals, outdoor concert series, car shows and the like. Plus, we have fun! and performance.My name is Nick and I'm a guitarist looking for someone to play with in Greenwood/Phinney Ridge. I've been playing for years and am comfortable with open chords, barre, 7th, blues and some jazz, and would like to keep expanding my guitar playing (and general musicianship) through jamming with others. I'm hoping to find someone with a similar goal. Anyway, if you're interested send me an email, and maybe we can meet up for a coffee for a brief meet and greet.We are a heavy punk/blues/metal band with Spanish lyrics. We rehearse Monday and Friday nights at 8pm in Belltown. Looking to start gigging in the next couple months. We need a solid bass player to show up, improvise as well as learn all our songs and do some recordings. You need to be solid with a car and a job and no major hang ups as are we.
