We are looking for an ice rink rink attendant/ Zamboni technician to drive the Zamboni, perform basic building and mechanical maintenance, cleaning/ sanitizing the rink, and customer service. Employees are responsible for the upkeep of the ice (including but not limited to resurfacing the ice, basic Zamboni maintenance, edging and chipping the ice) and the building upkeep as a whole. They are expected to perform custom skate sharpening and minor skate repairs as needed- after thorough training. Customer service is of the utmost importance as employees will be expected to interact with customers and answer any questions while on duty. Employees should be knowledgeable about the schedule, prices, procedures, and programs offered by the rink. This position requires basic knowledge about skating safety and mechanical aptitude. Special and additional tasks and projects may be assigned by managers. Part-time. Currently looking to fill night and weekend shifts, must be willing to work varied shifts. Requirements: Must be at least 18 years old Basic maintenance skills Experience operating heavy machinery preferred Ability to work independently and keep busy Customer service skills Availability on nights, weekends, and holidays Must be capable of lifting 75 lbs. Prior rink experience, particularly ice resurfacing is preferred but not required Shifts may start as early as 5:00 AM and end as late as 2:00 AM
