Every month, this new concept in practitioner education, “medutainment”, brings together the latest health news, functional medicine research, practice development and health technology in an upbeat, entertaining way.We curate the industry’s leading innovators in a mixed-media format that combines interviews, TED-style talks, videos, audience interaction, and music. You can learn more about Functional Forum Meetup and its previous conferences here. Each monthly episode will focus on a different medical specialty and connect the value of a functional medicine approach to its evolution. This comes at a time where use of specialists is becoming an ever more costly drag on medical systems worldwide. Each Forum will provide practitioners from all walks of medicine, not only Primary Care and Family Medicine, but all the integrative professions, with the clinical keys and practical emerging models to deliver truly effective predictive, preventive and participatory medicine. With our unprecedented global meetup infrastructure, we will also seek to create new relationships locally between current specialists and with integrative providers in order to stimulate the creation of the specialty centers of the future. Larisa Sharipova, MD, Holistic Health Practitioner, Author and Public Speaker The Philadelphia Main Line Meetup was started by a small group of practitioners in Wayne, PA interested in connecting with other community members who practice or wanted to learn about and support the functional medicine model and it's principals. Since its first meeting, the group has grown exponentially with participants ranging from patients, various types of practitioners, health & wellness enthusiasts, local business owners, and community members who want to learn more. The goal is to keep growing this group to foster growth and awareness of functional medicine in the community and to provide tools and support for current and future practitioners.
