Lake Las Vegas Overlook is a hidden gem, 3.4 mile loop trail located near Henderson, Nevada that is moderate & offers scenic views. Women Who Explore: Las Vegas - Lake Las Vegas Overlook Hike Location: Terrazza Park (or the neighboring fire station lot if Terrazza is full) 1992 E Galleria Dr, Henderson, NV 89011 Dates/Times of Event: March 5, 2022 at 9:30 AM PST ** THIS EVENT REQUIRES AN EVENTBRITE REGISTRATION. The Eventbrite registration page is open now.** Due to local guidelines, and in accordance with the CDC, Women Who Explore will be limiting the number of attendees per event. In order to comply with these guidelines, each member attending the event will be required to register through Eventbrite. In the event you successfully register, and then are unable to attend, please release the ticket so that another member may attend. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Heather Kuch directly! Event Description of Activity: Join me for one of my favorite hidden gem hikes! Please read the hike description to see if this is an activity you would like to accomplish and if your hiking abilities align with the trail listed. What to bring: All registered participants are required to carry a personal hygiene kit which includes a mask/face covering and hand sanitizer. * pack your full supply of water for the day * pack snacks and light lunch * dress appropriately; bring layers * rain coat/top layer/sun hat/sunglasses/warm gloves/warm hat * shoes with good traction (that can get dirty) * bring a light backpack to put layers in as you shed them * sunscreen/bug spray/headlamp/flashlight * hand warmers & toe warmers (optional) * camera/extra charging unit * National Park Pass or State Park Pass as needed ** PLEASE NOTE: Ambassadors are not wilderness first aid certified and are not guides. This is a casual get together for shared outdoor enthusiasts. Safety is a top priority; please plan accordingly.** Event Guidelines (for Covid): By registering for this event, participants agree to abide by the guidelines set forth by Women Who Explore which include: Practice social distancing Carry a personal hygiene kit (mask and hand sanitizer) and have it available during the event Refrain from sharing transportation, gear, food or close spaces with others outside of your household Practice self-awareness and do not attend if you have had any flu-like symptoms, exposed to or have tested positive for Covid in the last 14 days. Post-event; anyone who develops flu-like symptoms within 14 days after joining an event should contact the ambassador and Women Who Explore at [email protected]. Liability Waiver: Friendly reminder that it is required to sign the e-waiver before attending your first Women Who Explore event. Cancellation Policy: If you are registering for one of our group events, we ask that you are 100% committed to attending when you register. If you reserve a spot and are unable to attend, please cancel as soon as possible on Eventbrite. We ask that you try to cancel a minimum of 3 days prior to the day of the event as this allows other women who would like to attend the ability to plan to join us.
