After decades of suffering the debilitating effects of Anorexia, Lory has shaken off the chains of this dessert robbing monster to find and enjoy freedom. This is the story of events that got her "stuck" and some of the events that got her free. This is a story of victory and decision. Included in this "sweet" little book are some of Lory's favorite recipes, and a guided study to gently nudge any who are willing to begin their own healing journey. In the last twelve years, Lory has amassed a hefty collection of dessert recipes. When you stop to think of it, that is pretty hilarious! An Anorexic with an enormous dessert recipe collection? This collection has filled a treasure trunk, spilled into the kitchen, the library and on to the computer. Because the idea of the Anorexic's large dessert collection was funny amid a dramatic story that wasn't, Lory felt compelled to share them both with you, her story and her recipes. Because recovery requires measuring what you have done in the past against what is good and healthy, Lory recruited her "Mama" Linda to serve as translator and weigh in. Lory is a minister, passionate teacher, home educator, grateful wife of her best friend, Mother and Nana.
