Ikebana - Japanese Flower Arranging - 3 Part Workshop Wednesdays, March 9, 16 and 23, 2022 (This is a 3 part workshop) 1:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. Instructor: Irene Gomulka Irene will teach (3) traditional Japanese Sogetsu Ikebana classes. Ikebana, Japanese flower arranging, is a national Japanese treasure, which is over 500 years old. Irene will also share the history of Ikebana and show the traditional tools used for creating your own Ikebana arrangement. *A ceramic floral container, plastic bowl to cut the floral materials, Japanese kenzan (needlepoint holder), floral materials and handouts will be provided with a separate $60.00 materials fee paid directly to the instructor at the first class. **Please bring branch cutters and/or garden clippers, a container/pitcher to hold water and a small plastic bag for trash. Irene Gomulka has given numerous, demonstrations and taught Ikebana classes at Leu Gardens, Mennello Museum, multiple Garden Clubs and teaches ongoing workshops. For many years she has been invited as an Ikebana Artist to demonstrate Ikebana at Epcot’s Flower and Garden Festival. Irene is a licensed instructor in the Sogetsu School of Ikebana. She is the current president of the Ikebana International Chapter in Orlando and the Chairperson of the Sogetsu Orlando Study Group. Participants must withdraw from classes at least five days prior to the start of class in order to receive a full refund or credit. If we must cancel a class, we will make every effort to inform you prior to the class time, and you will receive a full refund or credit. Only those registered for the class will be permitted in the classroom. Childcare services are not provided. Beautiful Harry P.
