HSU Educational Foundation - Game Changers: Join us for a hands-on day with Florida Power and Light! Join HSU Educational Foundation FieldWerx on Saturday, March 5th, for an exciting HSU Game Changers STEM Saturday family event, which will feature Florida Power and Light held in Crestview. The Florida Power & Light Company has a long history of working to provide reliable, affordable, and environmentally responsible electricity to customers. They are the largest energy company in the U.S. as measured by retail electricity produced and sold. The company serves more than 5.6 million customer accounts supporting more than 11 million residents across Florida. Families will be exposed to the skills required to become a power lineman, investigate a power truck, and be introduced to solar technologies with hands-on experiences. The Drone Team Challenge Competition will be occurring throughout this Game Changers. You are invited to come anytime after 10am to observe the activities and event. The Game Changers program provides interactive, shared science and technology events for families, inspiring excitement while encouraging critical thinking and problem solving. The Game Changers program is sponsored in part by Florida Power and Light and usually meets the first Saturday of each month during the school year. Exploring business expertise and STEM technologies together sparks conversations among family members and can help participants apply educational principles to the real world. This hands-on STEM event is suitable for the whole family, adults must accompany youth participants.
